If that resonates with you, join us!Role Summary:This role is based at our Biotech manufacturing facility in Ilfracombe. The site has a headcount of around 700 people and ships equipment globally to a variety of clients, including those that develop and create life saving drugs.In this role, you will collaborate with associates across site, providing support for desktop operations and local site server systems. System administration, development, security and support of all meaningful infrastructures.Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide user and administrative support for PC’s and peripherals including user account management.
  • Provide technical guidance to users and management for PC related issues and queries.
  • Participate in projects or teams as advised by the Manager/Supervisor.
  • Execute maintenance and troubleshooting of all relevant hardware and software.
  • Support local manufacturing systems.
  • Develop a solid grasp of department specific applications.
  • Keep abreast of technical aspects of PC-LAN computing environment.
  • Seek opportunities and recommend solutions for improving service, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to meeting the departmental key performance indicators.
  • Qualifications/Education:
  • Degree is preferred but not crucial.
  • Up-to-date professional certification in the relevant technical area.
  • Some experience of desktop support is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of PC hardware and associated peripherals.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft O/S, Server and Desktop
  • Ability to use technical documentation and diagnostic tools to solve technical challenges.
