Job Description

Company OverviewThe UK business is seen as one of three key regions for the Group and is headquartered near to Sevenoaks in Kent. It is a market leader, having been established as Celcon in 1949, with the first factory to produce precast aerated concrete blocks and screedbeing built in 1958. Today it operates three factories, one in Borough Green in Kent which is also the UK Head Office, and two on the same campus in Pollington in Yorkshire. H+H UK employs over 250 people and enjoys a market share of c.40%Role OverviewA pivotal and high-profile role for H+H UK, responsible for managing significant sales volumes and high margins, in a challenging and highly volatile trading arena. As a hybrid role, this senior management position will report directly to the Sales and MarketingDirector and will be part of an established and highly successful senior, sales technical and marketing team. An experienced and proven team leader with sound knowledge of the private house building sector, with specific not exclusive focus, on UK Volume Housebuilders.Key Expectations Ability to lead, inspire and motivate a high performing sales and key account management team Strong negotiation skills A strategic mindset that understands supply chain and its challenges as well as the high/low demand trading cycle of the construction industry Established standing in the private house building sector, where experience of presenting market data relating to trends and customer performance, internally and externally, is paramount. Agility and professionalism in quick decision making is a key aspect of the role. A National role, where there is an expectation for face-to-face meetings when appropriate and or requested Being able to work and partner across all departments is key to the success of this role Evolving the current approach and focus of the team will form part of the role, via PIPs, in line with H+H guidelines. The candidate will work with and support the Sales and Marketing Director in developing customer and employee development programs in addition to presenting regular feedback relating to market trends, customer forecasts and medium to long term businessplansPersonThis is a role for a talented, ambitious and entrepreneurial executive who has the tenacity, intellect and drive to support the Sales & Marketing Director to help shape the H+H business. Set in the context of ambitious growth plans the role must: Experience from a highly regarded, sophisticated and mature international business where good process and business discipline is embedded; must know what good looks like. Have an understanding of business dynamics and the ability to navigate through complexity.
