Symphony has an exciting opportunity available for a Factory Manager to join the Manufacturing Department based in Rotherham. We are currently seeking the very best people, to further strengthen our position within the industry by appointing dedicated individuals to share in our success.Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, our Factory Manager will have responsibility for a paint shop; a panel producing machine shop; and an area producing sliding wardrobe doors, including glazed items. The successful applicant, therefore, must have experience of managing a paint shop and be suitably qualified to a minimum of HNC level.Key responsibilities of our Factory Manager will include: - Compliance with all environmental policies, ISO 9000- Management of around 150 staff, including work performance and attendance management and mentoring- Safe systems of work- Development of training to ensure skill grades and succession planning within the department and throughout the company- Day to day management of labour to ensure production targets are met including the re-distribution of labour to meet internal and external customer requirements- Adherence to the company’s defined quality and health and safety procedures- Logistical integration of bought out parts into the process to ensure any secondary processes are completed in line with production requirements- Co-ordination of the manufacturing process to ensure planned maintenance programs are adhered to and managed in-line with the company’s mainsaver maintenance program.Our Factory Manager must have:- Ideally have knowledge of working within the manufacturing industry- Be qualified to HNC level, ideally in engineering or chemicals- Possess excellent organisational skills- Be a logistical, pragmatic, self-motivated person- Be willing to work as part of a dynamic team- Be able to work under your own initiative in a high-pressured environment.Full training will be given to the successful candidate.So, if this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you and you’d like to become our Factory Manager then please click ‘apply’ today – don’t miss out, we’d love to hear from you!
