Summary We are pleased to announce that we are currently recruiting fora Welcome & Service Assistant, playing a core part in providing fantastic customer service here at Houghton Mill.Hours:Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but were looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. Shifts are either 5 or 6 hourslong, andwe aim to offer 1 to 2 shifts a week duringschool term time and 3 to 4 shifts a week during the school holidays. Weekend working is required as part of the role.Duration:Fixed-Term contract until 06-Nov-2022Salary:£9.90 per hour What its like to work here Houghton Mill is the last working watermill that exists on the River Great Ouse. With a charming riverside location, the property includes the Mill, a tearoom and a campsite. The small but ambitious team at the property work collaboratively together to provideaccess to the surrounding countryside and an engaging visitor experience in the historic 18th century watermill, which includes using our waterwheel to mill flour that can then be purchased onsite. A strong team spirit and collaborative working environmentis key to the success of Houghton Mill and the staff are looking for flexible, creative people to join them. What youll be doing As a Welcome & Service Assistant, its your role to ensure that the welcome our visitors receive at Houghton Mill is perfect, setting them up for an amazing experience for the rest of the day. Youll be responsible for answering queries and making sure visitorscan find everything they need for their visit. Youll be using your creativity and communication skills to inspire customers and will be the friendly face of the National Trust. Youll deliver high standards of presentation at the property, and ensure allour communications with our visitors are clear and consistent. Youll also assist in welcoming visitors to the historic watermill and checking them in for any pre-booked experiences. Who were looking for Youll need to have the following skills and experience:
