Job Description

Circa £24K, Salary dependant on skills & experiencePermanent37 Hours a weekAnglian Water offers a flexible approach, this role offers you the flexibility to work from home and from an Anglian Water office. Your base location will be either Lancaster House in Huntingdon or Thorpe Wood House in Peterborough (depending on your location); bothAnglian Water sites.Water is Life!Essential to us being able to continue to push boundaries and remain at the forefront of the Water industry is our ability to develop, maintain and manage our data to influence business decisions.We currently have an exciting position for a Water Quality Data Technician to join the team. The position will be responsible for the processing of water quality performance data (including sample results, customer contacts, telemetry data and water quality events), ensuring that accurate and timely reports are produced and are available for use by teams across the business and external stakeholders. It was also provide internal drinking water quality performance reporting across the business.What you will be doing:

  • Prepare all internal performance reports in an accurate and timely manner to meet internal customer requirements
  • Deliver all aspects of timely and accurate water quality performance reporting to the business, including draft commentaries to explain performance to key stakeholders.
  • Use predictive methodologies and tools to prepare future performance and trends.
  • Manage water quality data on behalf of Water Services, including regulatory and internal monitoring data, operational performance data, telemetry data, customer contacts and water quality events.
  • Provide an adhoc data service to other scientific teams (for example production of target standard exceedance reports, pesticide trends etc.).
  • Be part of the Supply System review and associated process and Regulation 28 documents, working closely with the Laboratory team.
  • Produce data for sharing with internal and external stakeholders including Local Authorities, neighbouring water suppliers, catchment management groups etc.
  • Prepare data for publication on the Anglian Water website for use by Local Authorities in the production of private supply risk assessments.
  • Prepare water quality data for accessing by customers via the postcode search on the Anglian Water website.
  • Input data and information onto the secure section of the AW website for use by stakeholders.
  • Support the production and development of the Annual Drinking Water Quality Report, working closely with colleagues in the Communications Team.
