Realise your potentialCome and work in the Capital Accounting team and take advantage of this unique opportunity, contributing to the efficient delivery of the annual capital investment programme and helping Anglian Water to manage its asset base of c£10.5bn assets.We welcome applicants who are at the beginning of their Finance career, part or fully qualified or an individual who is looking to take on a new challenge.What youll be doing:As a Trainee Accountant, you will be working closely within a supportive team, you will have responsibilities across the construction project lifecycle for monitoring, recording and reporting of operational asset expenditure - from replacement of pumps tolaying kms of new water main, whilst benefitting from financial support towards gaining a professional qualification.Day-to-day activities include liaising with stakeholders, contributing to monthly reporting and assisting and supporting the team with the management of c£700m annually of capital construction projects, including; new project creation, asset commissioning,processing and analysis using the SAP system and Microsoft applications such as Excel and Outlook. The important work you do contributes to Anglian Waters statutory accounting, regulatory accounting and capital allowances tax claims, so your attention todetail will be key.Gaining exposure to lots of different parts of the business, you will get to spend some time out on site, as well as working with a variety of people in the investment planning and delivery teams, and external audit.
