Job Description

Tooling, Setting and Technical SupportAn exciting position has become available for a full-time, experienced Tooling, Setting and Technical Support person to be part of the Technical Team, based in Huntingdon. Salary will be commensurate subject to the level of qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.Hours of work will be 40 hours per week, 6:30am-2:30pm and 2:30pm-10:30pm Monday to Friday on a weekly rotation.Role Requirements The successful candidate will:-Have 5 years’ experience of setting/maintaining tools to optimise performance in either a rubber or plastics environment

  • Be hands on with a willingness to solve problems to the best of their expertise.
  • Possess good communication skills coupled with the ability to work in a team and on your own initiative are pre-requisites of this position.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and the capability to promote continuous improvement throughout the Shop Floor is desirable.
  • Role Responsibilities The Technical Team is a crucial part of the business:
  • Ensuring moulds are changed and presses are set to the required standard as quickly and efficiently as possible, keeping production downtime to a minimum.
  • Undertaking the sampling of new product, monitoring tool performance and providing assistance with fault finding.
  • Supporting and advising machine operators as to best working practices and recommending behaviours which facilitate good quality product at all times.
