Job Description

Street Works ManagerSalary- £40,000 - £50,000 Depending on experience + Car AllowancePermanent37 hours per weekBased within the Anglian Water regionDo you have robust understanding of Streetworks legislationCan you bring your proven experience within a management roleCan you demonstrate proven ability to assess risks / make significant decisions with incomplete information / dynamic situationsDo you have proven stakeholder engagement expertiseWe have a fantastic opportunity to become a key part of our Anglian Waters Streetworks team.What will you be doingThe Street Works Manager will be responsible for managing the relationship with some of our 23 Highway Authorities and ensuring compliance in "Street Works" across our Alliances, driving forward improvements in performance as required. Circa 90,000 Permits are raised each year to allow Anglian Water to complete its works in the Highway.Supporting the business around safe sites, minimising disruption and quality works are key drivers in achieving Street works Excellence within Anglian Water.Street Works is governed by NRSWA & TMA legislation and Road Traffic regulations - this is a key role focused on ensuring the business understands and meets its statutory requirements The role provides line management to the group of technical and system analysts within the Street Works teamWhat do you needThe role will suit someone who is customer focussed with good managerial skills / experience and a comprehensive understanding of the associated legislation. You will need prior experience of building & developing effective relationships with internal & external stakeholders. You will work collaboratively with contract partners & stakeholders across the Anglian Water geographical area and having a passion for Street Works is an advantage.Key areas of understanding:

  • Significant knowledge and understanding of the New Roads and Streetworks Act 1991
  • Significant knowledge and understanding of the Traffic Management Act 2004
  • Significant experience in establishing compliant processes
  • Experience in delivering efficiencies through innovation
  • Significant experience in stakeholder engagement.
