Job Description

Salary - Circa £40,000 Dependant on skills andexperienceCovering the Anglian Water region - Home working & office based,Office locations: Huntingdon, Peterborough, Milton Keynes, Lincoln, Norwich12 months secondment (Maternity cover)37 Hours a weekAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Strategic Resource Scientist to join the Water Quality Team, based at any of our scientific sites within our region, your base location can be flexible depending on where you live.You will be responsible for Technical support on all water quality aspects for the Strategic Resource Options (SRO). You will be an integral link in the management of the SRO water quality monitoring plan for the SROs with respect to sample data resultsand how these are reported against. Additionally you will be providing water quality technical knowledge into the development of the WRMP24 process following a Drinking Water Safety Planning approach.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing water quality technical knowledge into the Regulators Alliance for Progressing Infrastructure Development (RAPID) process following a Drinking Water Safety Planning approach. Provision of WQ input into the RAPID gateway process.
  • Be an integral link in the management of the SRO water quality monitoring plan for the SROs with respect to sample data results and how these are reported against.
  • Internal and external stakeholder strategy development for the RAPID process.

  • Your experience should ideally have given you exposure to the water industry
