The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of the team and lead in the delivery of key projects which will shape the future of the district as a whole. As one of the first Community InfrastructureLevy (CIL) Charging Authorities, the opportunity to be at the forefront of ensuring the compliance with legal requirements and the delivery of key projects promise a challenging and rewarding workload, with placemaking at the heart of the role. As a memberof Planning Services directoratate, opportunities for learning and development will be provided. Flexible working patterns can be accommodated, supporting a healthy work/life balance.The individual:The successful candidate will provide expert professional work on infrastructure planning and project delivery, work with partners in the development of related project funding packages, and the management of day to day infrastructure project programme work,and developer contributions through the Councils Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and Section 106 planning obligations. The role also facilitates the viability considerations of developments on behalf of planning officers to meet policy requirements. Thisis an exciting role providing opportunities to work with partners and engage in strategic infrastructure projects necessary to enable and deliver growth in our district.While supporting the Implementation Team Leader this post will also be working closely with the Chief Planning Officer, Planning Services management team, Senior Managers across the council and working with local partners to identify infrastructure needs,the mitigation required, the funding package and the delivery mechanism.You should have a good fundamental knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and policies with the ability to show excellent communication and negotiation skills and be adaptable. You may be an experienced professional with a background in planning(policy or development management), viability negotiation or infrastructure funding and delivery and would welcome working in a positive, creative, environment where the wellbeing of our residents and value for money is at the core of our business.Above all it is essential that you demonstrate behaviours in line with our values and a passion and a commitment to continually seek to innovate and develop our workforce, which will in turn enable us to succeed in our strategic ambitions.The team:The Implementation Team plays a key role in delivering the new housing and economic growth to Huntingdonshire.
