Job Description

As part of our place agenda (and following the appointment of a new Corporate Director of Place) we are establishing a team who will work across the council to deliversuccessful programmes against funding we have already secured and oversee the delivery of this influential capital regeneration programme to the benefit of our residents and communities. Following the completion of masterplans for St Ives, Huntingdon and Ramseyyou will lead on the instigation of new projects and prospects for us to explore. You will join us at a pivotal time to support the delivery of projects already identified for St Neots.The ability to influence our external stakeholders and partners in order to shape our regeneration programme will be evident from previous programme management and your team will consist of a number of project support and delivery specialists, alongsideworking in tandem with other key teams in the Council such as economic development and growth services.You will be a solutions focussed individual who will be commercially astute with the ability to lead large scale complex (and politically sensitive) projects, you will require a successful track record in delivering against (and understanding of) projectbudgeting and forecasting, objectives and milestones and working to strict timeframes in order to ensure as a Local Authority we are delivering new ways of working against projects that help to shape our place agenda.If you are a strong negotiator, have the gravitas to advise senior leaders and partners in order to achieve results and a track record in programme management across the public sector please do apply.Informal discussions regarding the role and our expectations can be arranged with our Regeneration and Housing Delivery Manager.
