Job Description

Job Title: Purchasing AssistantLocation: HuntingdonSalary: £20,000 per annumJob type: Full time, PermanentGoodfellow is an ambitious UK-based company with subsidiary operations in the USA, France, Germany and China. We supply materials which are used for research, development, and specialised manufacturing applications within areas such as Healthcare, Industry, Communications, Academia and Defence.Were currently looking for a Purchasing Assistant, to join us in our Huntingdon office and who can provide administrative support to the Purchasing Team.Key duties:Booking In and Process Receipts

  • Process booking in paperwork
  • Ensure the system is properly maintained with correct Part, Quantity, Form, Size, Unit of Measure and where necessary enter material analysis
  • Scanning Documents
  • Assist with the administration and scanning of Drawings, Acknowledgements, Material Certs and any other relevant documents relating to the contract
  • Expediting and Progressing of Open Purchase Orders
  • Produce Daily reports
  • Work with reports to generate vendor schedules and ensure these are communicated
  • Follow up by email / telephone to establish delivery dates
  • Ensure the system and PO is updated
  • Challenge late deliveries and, if necessary, refer problematic vendors to Buyer / Purchasing Supervisor
  • About you:
