Project / Process Engineer - Food Processing Equipment Salary Guide: £30,000 - £42,000 paLocation: in the Cambridgeshire/Bedfordshire areaApplicants will need to have their own transport due the companys rural location.Due to continued growth, this established Market leader in Food Processing Equipment manufacture is seeking an outstanding candidate to join their existing projects team.The successful candidate will have a sound engineering knowledge. An understanding of typical processes used in the food industry would be an advantage.Motivated and ambitious they will be looking to take the next step in their career path and grow their knowledge working for an innovative and successful Company.Project / Process Engineer - Main Duties:The primary duty of the Project Engineer is to take responsibility for contracts from the receipt of order and handover from the Sales team through to completion.Working closely with the client and ensuring all internal departments and staff are fully aware of the details of the contract as well as the project timescales.Formulating a detailed project plan, discussing and producing plant layouts and P&ID drawings and dealing with process queries from the client with the support of the Drawing Office, Technical Department and process specialists.Once the project plan is agreed the PE is responsible for ensuring the overall design concept is approved by the client and both internal and external milestones are met as well as identifying and dealing with delays in information flow and requested variationsto the scope.During the manufacturing process the PE must be aware of any delays with any aspect of the project or potential for them and be prepared to discuss these with the team and the client to mitigate overruns.Once the manufacturing and testing is completed the PE will organise client PDIs or FATs prior to organising packing and shipping of the goods.Organisation of the required resource both internal and external to complete the installation and commissioning of the equipment and ensuring the relevant training and documentation is carried out will be the final part of the PEs role. If appropriate thePE may well be expected to commission the equipment.With regard to the financial aspects of the project the PE needs to ensure the financial milestones are met and any variations from the client are captured, passed to the Sales team and implemented once agreed.At all times it is essential that the Project Engineer is aware of the status of each of his contracts and that all relevant parties are kept informed. Overnight UK trips and overseas travel may also be a requirement of this position.Experience & Qualifications:
