My client based on the outskirts on Huntingdon is currently recruiting for a PCB Hand Assembly Operator to join their team on a full time permanent basis.The manufacturing team are responsible for the assembly, test, packing and despatch of a wide range of PCBs and finished products built to customer design and supplied to order to many diverse companies. They operate three fully automated surface mount assembly lines as well as recent investment in new selective soldering and x-ray inspection technology to ensure that they offer their customers the very latest and most cost effective solutions to their often complex manufacturing requirements.The PCB hand assembly operator role will add to their existing team, placing components on PCBs by hand before either hand soldering or being soldered using the automated selective solder machine. This additional position within the manufacturing team has arisen due to continued increase in demand from their existing customers and from winning new business in a very competitive marketplace.The main responsibilities of this role are:· Placement of conventional electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs). · Hand soldering to IPC-610 standard (J-Std would be preferred). · Loading PCBs into and operating a Selective Soldering Machine. · Occasional rework and PCB modification. · Upholding the high quality of workmanship our customer demand of us.A flexible attitude towards working hours and a competent, keen personality are also key to this role.
