Job Description

  • Full time 37 hours per week worked over 4 days (Monday to Saturday)
  • £30,898 - £ 34,776 with enhancement paid above this for Bank Holiday working
  • Based from Huntingdon Depo working across Huntingdon and St Ives.
The Markets Team is looking to appoint a Markets Manager to lead the operation of our markets in Huntingdon and St Ives.This is a key post critical to the delivery of the councils Markets Services, a service which plays a key role in maintaining the identity of out historic market towns. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of tasks relating to the councils Marketservice to ensure successful and safe day to day operation of the markets acting as a representative of the council and as a primary on-site point of contact for both market traders and members of the public.The position is a challenging one and requires someone who can work individually and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills in both verbal and written communications with experience of working within a retail/frontlinecustomer services environment with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and partners.A flexible attitude to working hours is essential along with the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. The post will work 37 Hours over 4 days including Saturdays and Bank Holidays.In addition to the basic salary, this role attracts an enhancement for working on Bank Holidays.This role will work out of Eastfield House in Huntingdon and be required to travel around market sites within the district.
