Line Worker (Nights) Meyer Scott Ref: VR/08763Location: St Peters Road, HuntingdonPay Rate: £12.00 per hourHours: Fixed Nights 10pm - 6am.Our client is looking for some additional help in their workshop. The role is very straightforward with good Health and Safety measures and training provided.The business is experienced in designing and manufacturing thermoformed and vacuum formed packaging. Many of the workers have been there for many years because they encourage and friendly approachable atmosphere.You may be eligible for a permanent role after 12 weeks, if they like you and you like them and the pay will increase. Main Duties:

• Responsible for production activities such as - the removal of and take off of products from in-line forming machines, roller cutting, labelling, punch carousel, vertical press, bandsaw and other such processes that may be introduced - e.g. heat-sealing,contract packing activities etc - as required by the production plan.
• To assist in the correct assembly, correct labelling and handling of outer cartons for the finished products.
• Responsible for ensuring that product conforms to the required quality standards as advised by the Supervisor / QC / production spec sheet or machine setter.
• Responsible for using training, experience and aids such as "first-off" samples in pursuance of the quality goal and to immediately inform the Supervisor or QC or machine setters of any deviance in quality.
• Responsible for ensuring that products are accurately counted into outer cartons and onto pallets in accordance with the production spec sheet.
• Responsible for completing the production specification sheets accurately and fully. To initial and date carton labels correctly in order to assist with traceability of any quality problems or customer complaints. To complete time sheets or other paperworkrequired to assist in the management of the companys activities
• To assist in keeping production areas and machines clean and tidy and to work safely at all times.
• To be aware of, and adhere to, all Company Safety, Quality and Hygiene procedures.

Additional Duties:

• As part of the Production team, to contribute to productivity and morale by communicating problems promptly to management and by assisting members of immediate, and wider teams, when required, to the best of job holders abilities.
• To communicate effectively with management and other staff in order to improve morale and teamwork as well as better understanding of, and progress towards overall Company goals.
• Occasionally there will be a requirement to work extra hours to meet deadlines.
