Job Description

Working as part of our client’s people group you will deliver a professional, high quality learning and development plan to all employees. This role will be working 25 hours per week on a flexible basis. The position will be working from home initially, it should be appropriate that in the future you can comfortably travel to the HQ in Huntingdon as and when required as this role will not remain fully remote working in the longer term.Start: ASAPLocation: Huntingdon, CambridgeshireHours: 25 hours per week, a flexible approach can be taken when agreeing working hoursSalary: £30,451 PRO RATA (£20,575)Benefits: Pension, 23 days holiday + 8 bank holidays PRO RATA (after 5 years’ service increases to 28 days increasing to a maximum of 30 days over 15 years) Sickness scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, flexible working scheme, Health Cash Plan.Duties:

  • To provide learning and development advice and support
  • Coach, support and advise management to make the best people decisions
  • Actively participate in the Development Advisory Board (DAB)
  • Ensuring opportunities for development are timely and aligned to individual & organisational need
  • Develop and promote all organisational wide learning strategies
  • Maintain intranet pages with relevant information on available development initiatives
  • Coach and influence managers from a people perspective, developing people management skills
  • Develop and deliver creative, proactive and practical solutions to improve leadership competence
  • Strengthen opportunities for staff to be responsible for their own learning
  • Support the Talent Management and succession activity
  • Promote and engage in the benefits of coaching and mentoring
  • Lead and supervise the qualified internal coaching team
  • Manage the coaching and mentoring activity
  • Ensure the continuous development and assessment of skills of all qualified coaches
  • Deliver a clear process on how coaching and mentoring can be requested
  • Skills and Experience Required:
  • Minimum of Level 5 Qualification in CIPD (or equivalent demonstratable experience)
  • Knowledge and experience of L&D
  • Demonstrated experience of creating development programmes
  • Experience of working with various learning management systems
  • Excellent IT skills including the use of PowerPoint
  • Experience of working on learning transformation and change
