Job Description

Circa £33,000 per annum Full time/37 hrs a week/permanent Location: Huntingdon & Home Working Anglian Water offers a flexible approach, this role offers you the flexibility to work from home and from an Anglian Water office. The successful candidate will support the Internal Communications Business Partner in their role alongside specific business units, creating materials that deliver Business Unit goals, translate corporate strategy, promote Love every Drop & execute internalcommunications plans.As a valued employee youll be entitled to: -Competitive pension scheme - Anglian Water double-matches your contributions up to 6% -Personal private health care -Annual bonus scheme -26 days leave, rising with service + Bank Holidays, with the option to swap Christmas and Easter holidays for those celebrated by your religion -Life Cover at 8x your salary -Personal Accident cover - up to 5x your salary -Flexible benefits to support your wellbeing and lifestyle -Lots of great benefits including 20% off new EE mobile contracts, discounted cinema tickets and a Cycle2Work scheme -Free parking at all offices, site and leisure parks -Paid time off when youre physically and mentally unwellWhat youll be doing: - Work with an Internal Comms Business Partner to deliver expert internal communications materials in support of the business. - Build relationships with key internal stakeholders, including senior staff in partner business units, to support the delivery of communications initiatives. - Generate communications materials such as presentations, briefings, newsletters & Business Bulletins to provide communications support to the ICBP & specific Business Units. - Execute internal communications plans to support Business Unit objectives. - Support Business Unit team meetings, working with an Internal Comms Business Partner & senior departmental staff to improve the overall efficacy of team meetings and briefings. - Support the use of appropriate tactics & channels for corporate messaging to be passed to the business (& facilitate effective delivery) across all existing channels (eg Lighthouse, Sharepoint, Business Bulletin, Team Talk, AW News, departmental newsletters,etc) & support the development of new channels where appropriate. - Create assets that can be used in internal & external communications, both print & online, such as video, photography, digital design, long & short-form copy, plus any other creative medium that is suited to the delivery of the internal communications businessplan. - Liaising with 3rd party agencies in the production of creative content, where the capacity doesnt exist in-house. - Support the Corporate Affairs team as required during incidents & crises, including in disciplines other than Internal Communications. - Support the wider Corporate Affairs team with events & projects where additional resources are required, as directed by the Head of Internal Communications and Culture. .What does it take to be successful - Experience in similar role within a communication environment - Experience of stakeholder management (preferably internal) - Previous experience supporting the delivery of internal communications strategies - Experience of event and / or project management - Able to work to tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment - Excellent attention to detail - Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, presentational (essential) - Ability to translate multiple/complex messages into simple, compelling formats (Essential) - Digital design skills, or an ability to learn and apply these - Awareness of (or appetite to develop) an understanding of what makes good content, & how to create and curate it - Awareness of the significance of social and digital media in the modern communications mix - Some knowledge of communications impact measurement - Strong organisational and planning skillsInclusion at Anglian Water: Inclusion is for everyone and we are an equal opportunity employer, which means well consider all suitably qualified applicants regardless of gender identity or expression, ethnic origin, nationality, religion or beliefs, age, sexual orientation, disabilitystatus or any other protected characteristic.
