Role: Engineering Manager Salary: £55,000-£70,000 per annum Hours: 37.5 hours per week 08.00-17.00 Monday-Fridaay Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire Job type: Full time, PermanentInteraction have partnered with a long standing & established engineering design firm based in Cambridgeshire. The client offer encouragement for career progression, training & development with an opportunity to work on advanced technical projects for world leading clients.The package: o 30 days holiday, inclusive of bank holidays o Regular Salary/Package Reviews based on performance - Quarterly o Comprehensive Pension & Life Insurance Plan o Opportunity for National/International Client Visits (Expenses Paid) o Company events & Meals out o Company Vehicle/Car Allowance o A unique variety of projects across progressive & worldwide industries. o To liaise with some of the worlds leading clients in space travel, nuclear power generation, FMCG & Aerospace - supporting world changing innovations in exciting project based opportunitiesThe Role: o To lead a team of design & manufacturing engineers in the production of prototype & final design specification to meet client requirements. o Communicate with Clients, Departments & Board Level Directorship to update on progression of projects & time scales o Work within ISO 9001 Framework, ensuring regulations are met effectively & accurately o Assist with the sales department to answer any technical questions regarding bids o Support the design team with checking designs, answering technical questions working with Solidworks Electrical/Mechanical - 3D Design o Carry out elements of electrical/electronic design work o Work within a designing/manufacturing using Plasma System Controlled based methodology, High/Low Vacuum machinery design. o Carry out appraisals among the engineering/design teamRequirements: o Previous experience surrounding the manufacturing/design of High/Low Vacuum Systems & Plasma Based Controlled Systems - Essential o Proven record of managing/leading successful engineering teams within the automotive, FMCG, Nuclear, Defence, Aerospace projects/manufacturingo A good understanding of Solidworks mechanical or electrical design using 3D models o Working Knowledge of Hi-Voltage & power pulse control - Desireable o A good attitude & communication capabilities - proven to be able to manage a team alongside communicating with suppliers/clientsSimilar roles may include: High Vacuum Engineer, Low Vacuum Engineer, Protype Engineer, Plasma Engineer, Machine Manufacturing ManagerInteraction Recruitment have specialist consultants across the majority of industries within the UK, including but not limited to, Finance & IT, Technical & Engineering, Industrial, Commercial and Hospitality.
