Job Description

We are an innovative and forward-thinking Local Authority whose residents are at the heart of our decision making.3CICT have an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic IT professional looking for the next exciting challenge as a Desktop analyst.We are part of a shared service strategic partnership between Cambridge City Council, Huntingdonshire District Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council and this is one of several Desktop Analyst positions within the service.As a Desktop Analyst, you will play an important role in delivering an ITIL 2nd line desktop support function to our customers across these partner sites, resolving tasks such as desktop builds/deployments, procedure documents, Anti-virus checks etc. Youwill also be responsible for providing hands on technical support to analyse and resolve a wide range of queries, in a fast-paced environment this may require on occasion the need to be able to work from any of the supported council sites (Mentioned above),whilst at other times you may be able to work remotely.The successful candidate will ideally have a strong background in Windows 10, Office 365 including back end administration, Active Directory and Group Policy awareness. It would be advantageous to have an awareness of:SCCM (packaging, deployments, and report creation) Intune (Mobile & Policy Management).You will need to effectively manage customers expectation, ensuring excellent customer service is always delivered.This role will also have a requirement for Out of Hours Support for which additional payments are made. This involves being on call (more often than not responding remotely) on a roughly one week in 4 basis, where you will be available to answer emergencycalls from our leisure centres during the evenings and weekends.Above all it is essential that you demonstrate behaviours in line with our values, showing a passion and commitment to continually seek to innovate and develop our workforce. The postholder will be required to hold a valid DBS and to be able to travel betweensites if required.
