Job Description

Deputy Hospitality Manager - RAF Wyton£25345 per annum/ 37.5 hours per week Were currently recruiting a dedicated Deputy Hospitality Manager to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Defence on a full time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week.As a Hospitality Manager, you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of quality work.   • To promote a safety culture and ensure your team are aware of and operate in accordance with company and client Health & Safety procedures at all times but not limited to Food Handling, COSHH, uniform standards, PPE, manual handling, fire regulations andquality control.
  • To ensure stock levels, promotions and merchandising are managed in line with company procedures and sales are maximised.
  • To liaise with the client as appropriate seeking opportunities to improve the profitability of the retail offer and enhance the reputation of ESS
  • To manage the Hospitality labour, equipment & resources budget for the contract in line with company targets
  • To recruit, train and develop the team ensuring there is a training & succession plan in place
  • To manage the team in line with company procedures including formal performance management processes & disciplinary investigations as appropriate
  • To conduct customer journeys and quality audits (e.g. H&S, Profit Protection) to ensure the delivery and quality of the retail service achieves or exceeds company standards
  • To ensure the Hospitality operation continually improves in all areas of the operation – Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety & Morale
  • To complete banking & daily reconciliations in line with company procedures and be responsible for the care & security of all company & client property, cash, stock & equipment within the Hospitality area.
  • To control and Manage Messes when Manager is off site
  • Complete maintain and update all Food Safety and Health and Safety paperwork correctly on a continual basis to ensure full compliance.
  • To take responsibility of all monies within the messes ensuring all profit protection procedures and relevant paperwork is always adhered too.
  • To role model the ESS Way behaviours at all times to colleagues, customers & clients
  • To ensure all company, client & legal requirements, processes and procedures are implemented effectively
Our ideal Manager will: Essential:
  • An enthusiastic individual with a passion for working in Hospitality.
  • An outstanding communicator, able to liaise confidently with customers & clients and lead, engage & develop team members
  • A minimum of 12 months experience managing a busy Hospitality based operation
  • Knowledge & experience of driving profitable sales growth
  • IT literate
  • Good numeracy skills with the ability to analyse & interpret data e.g. sales data
  • Able to work flexibly in line with business requirements including attending off site meetings
  • Hospitality qualifications preferred but not essential as training will be available.
Desirable:
  • Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
