As the largest Water and Water Recycling company in England and Wales by geographic area, compliance with data protection legislation is centralto our business and we are committed to protecting the information of almost 7 million customers and our 5000 employees.As a Data Protection Specialist, you will work with our Legal Compliance Officer within our Legal Compliance Team to champion data protection and privacy across the business, contributing to, supporting and developing our culture of data protection and privacycompliance. This will include providing high quality and pragmatic data protection and privacy advice, as well as supporting our people to adopt best practice and comply with data protection and UK GDPR legislation, and other relevant legislation such as thePrivacy & Electronic Communications Regulations. Your pro-active nature and sound knowledge of data protection legislation will be key here in enabling you to work collaboratively and pragmatically with the business to facilitate compliant business activities.You will also play a key role in assisting our Legal Compliance Officer in supporting the completion and legal reviews of Data Protection Impact Assessments(DPIAs). You will be responsible for ensuring legal reviews of relevant DPIAs are carried out in anaccurate, timely and pragmatic manner, while always promoting the concept of privacy by design and by default.As a valued employee, youll be entitled to:
