Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join our distinguishedteam of mental health experts.Position Summary: As an Approved Mental Health Professional at Hire Stone Recruitment Ltd, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health assessments and interventions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals experiencingmental health crises, ensuring that they receive appropriate care and support in compliance with relevant legislation.Responsibilities:

  1. Mental Health Assessments: Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments in accordance with statutory requirements, considering the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation.
  2. Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate and effective crisis intervention for individuals experiencing mental health crises, collaborating with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
  3. Care Planning: Develop and implement person-centered care plans, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of appropriate and effective interventions.
  4. Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and preferences of individuals, ensuring that their voice is central to decision-making processes related to their care and treatment.
  5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, care plans, and interventions. Prepare timely and thorough reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
  6. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with external agencies, healthcare providers, and community resources to enhance the overall mental health support available to individuals.
Qualifications:
  1. Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) Status: Current and valid AMHP status, registered with the relevant professional body.
  2. Qualifications: Degree in Social Work or a related field. Additional qualifications in mental health are highly desirable.
  3. Experience: Proven experience as an AMHP, with a deep understanding of mental health legislation and best practices.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  5. Collaborative Approach: Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams and engage effectively with external partners.
