The aim of the team is to provide technical support to customers and suppliers of Saint-Gobain UK services throughoutthe lifecycle of their engagement.Is this role right for meFirst and foremost, we always want to recruit talented people that align well with our values and way of working. For this role in particular we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:Essential

  • Technical experience of delivering external facing technical solutions
  • Able to manage customer-facing IT implementation projects through to completion
  • Strong technical background and ability to understand complex product functionality, design and technical issues, in order to drive the right priorities, trade-offs and resolutions
  • Technical background and understanding is important as discussions can range from non-technical users to developers
  • External client-facing operational experience
  • Must be able to organise, lead and manage meetings, both face-to-face and over the phone with stakeholders, which include business teams, customers and suppliers
  • Experience of discussing and describing products, services and processes to business and customers to ensure they fully understand what is available
  • Confident presentation and negotiation skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills with experience of addressing system issues and problems
  • Time management skills, ensuring deliverables such as project tasks are delivered and support issues are resolved within a timely manner
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident phone manner, ensuring stakeholders are kept up-to-date on service issues
  • Experience of working with development and support teams
  • An aptitude for IT and a desire to learn
  • Documentation and/or process writing experience
  • Competent in use of Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint
  • Educated to degree level or has equivalent work experience
Desirable
  • Experience of working with EDI and middleware systems
  • An understanding of system interfaces
  • Jira knowledge
What will I be required to do in the role
  • Work with stakeholders (business, customers and suppliers) to integrate customers and suppliers systems with the companys system where documents/data are delivered and received electronically within appropriate timeframes and within budget
  • Understand customer and supplier profile and prioritise accordingly
  • Understand the criticality of commercial business benefit of the project
  • Work on multiple external facing project tasks
  • Be able to document requirements
  • Understand impact of any issues the customer or supplier is experiencing and work alongside the External Facing L2 team to ensure these are dealt within the agreed timescales
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, including enhancements and their impact
  • Be able to provide details of any issues to the relevant support teams and ensure appropriate priority is set
  • Communicate to stakeholders ensuring they are kept up-to-date with project progress and/or for any support calls
  • Carry out review meetings, with the Service Improvement Manager, with stakeholders after an appropriate time period to ensure the services set up are still fit for purpose for the business, customer or supplier
  • Work with the IT Management to plan and set the budget for EDI integrations for the year ahead and ensure these are under these budgets
  • Document processes, procedures and knowledge and review documents written within an appropriate time period
  • Actively participate in project and design meetings using knowledge of the business, existing systems and processes to add value to the project
  • Follow agreed change management processes in order to implement new or changed services, ensuring that changes are communicated in advance of their planned implementation date
  • Facilitate the transfer of knowledge throughout the team
