A Local Authority based in West Yorkshire is looking for a Principal Highways Project Manager to join their team. This is a full time, temporary position and the successful candidate will hold a Prince 2 or equivalent Project Management certification (or working towards a relevant qualification), have extensive Project Management experience specifically with highways and ideally extensive experience in a similar role.The purpose of the role is oversee and organise a team working on specific highways schemes covering both design and contract work. The ideal candidate:You must have extensive Project Management experience specifically with highways. Knowledge and application of DMRB in design of major highway schemes.Understanding of the CDM regulations and their relevance to highway design.Significant experience in highway engineering, particularly urban junction design including design of roundabouts and traffic signal controlled junctions.Able to provide accurate completion and prompt return of relevant compliance documentation, including early warning and compensation events.Good knowledge and understanding of highway contracts.Good understanding of Programme of Works and Key Milestones.Knowledge of contract administration and risk management.Able to conduct regular progress and stakeholder engagement meetings.Prince 2 or equivalent Project Management certification (or working towards a relevant qualification)The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering between £35 - £40 p/hour Umbrella Ltd (approx. £810 - £910 p/week NET after deductions) dependant on experience and qualifications.
