Job Description

We are a leading manufacturer of a diverse and trusted range of concrete and clay building products used extensively within the construction sector, with instantly recognizable brands such as Thermalite blocks, London Brick, Ecostock, Cradley, Formpave andJetfloor, Bison Precast.Our product range comprises of clay bricks, Thermalite blocks, aggregate blocks, Red Bank chimney, roofing and flue systems, precast concrete and flooring products and Formpave permeable paving.Forterra represents exactly what we do and have always done. Our purpose is to manufacture products that are the essential to the nation’s construction sector, helping our customers build with ease and confidence. Moreover, we continue to lead our industryin terms of standards and safety.We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Hoveringham team in the position of Order-Entry & Delivery Co-Ordinator.This position is to process Supply Only beam orders, liaising with customers alongside our pricing and planning functions to ensure that all required product is scheduled and delivered in line with customer expectations.Your duties would include but not limited to the following;

  • ORDERS - Complete contract review and prompt processing of customer orders, resolving any order queries in a timely manner.
  • DELIVERY TICKETS - Create delivery tickets for all Supply Only beam deliveries, to enable product to be loaded and delivered to site on time and in full.
  • LIAISON - Liaise between Bison Planning team and customers to confirm beam and polystyrene delivery dates.
  • CUSTOMER SERVICE - Ensure reliability of site delivery information
  • CONTRACT VARIATIONS - Action any amendments regarding orders of deliveries as notified by the customer
  • CREDIT - Preparation and submission of credit applications
  • NEGOTIATION - Order negotiation in accordance with budget and targets
  • CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT - Actively contribute to improvements in business processes and procedures.
  • INFORMATION - Record relevant KPI’s to enable individual and team performances to be collated.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Order-Processing experience
  • Attention to detail and the ability to produce highly accurate work
  • The ability to work on own initiative
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Confident and outgoing personality
  • GCSE (Or Equivalent) in Maths & English
