Job Description

Description:The newly refurbished DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole is now recruiting for a Restaurant Manager. This beautiful seafront hotel is the largest residential events and conferencing venue on the South Coast. The hotel has 321 bedrooms as well as anon-site restaurant, bar and Health Club. After the recent refurbishment, together with excellent location and amenities, there really could not be a better time to join.Salary:£25,350 per annum plus service chargeBenefits:

What will I be doing
  • Manage the food and beverage service to consistently meet high standards as defined by the hotel and Hilton brand standards
  • Effectively control the flow of customers and the interaction between the front and back-of-house throughout service
  • Ensure Team Members maximize all sales opportunities
  • Ensure Team Members consistently maintain brand standards and high levels of customer service
  • Accurately manage all transactions during service
  • Manage Team Member schedules
  • Handling of (individual) reservations and other inquiries for the restaurant within the hotel in a timely and efficient manner
  • Support the departmental managers in the handling and sales of group bookings and inquiries
  • Support the other F&B outlets
  • Act as the main contact of third party booking & advertising platforms, ensuring the content is accurate and appealing, monitor performance and advice F&B Director and Departmental Managers in regards to continuation, termination and new offers
  • Support the F&B Director and Departmental Managers with the efficient handling of guest complaints and follow-up
  • Assist the Director of Food & Beverage in regards to various administrative tasks and projects
  • Support the Teams on the floor on a supervisory level during peak times and in the case of special events and VIP guests.
  • Ensure compliance of brand standards
  • Represent needs of the team
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
  • Be environmentally aware
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
What are we looking for
  • Previous Food and Beverage experience in an assistant manager role
  • Passion to deliver exceptional levels of guest service
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Attention to detail, well organised and strong administration skills
  • Good in interpreting and analysing data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
  • Ability to work on your own or in teams
  • Effective collaborative skills to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
