Working with one of the worlds leading ground handling operators, Premier Work Support have fantastic opportunities for Ramp Agents & Baggage Handlers to work part time at Heathrow Airport working on a 6 on 3 off shift pattern of early and late shifts. This is a great opportunity and although currently a temporary role initially this could lead to a further long term opportunity.Duties will include loading & unloading baggage, air cargo, containers & pallets onto carts and / or dollies, placing chocks & cones around the aircraft, driving and / or operating ground support equipment including cargo tugs, cargo carts, aircraft steps, belt loaders, aircraft ground power units, tow bars and container loaders. You may even at times collect & load live animals as well as dangerous goods onto aircraft. You must be able to work on the 6 on 3 off shift pattern with early starts and late finishes required (dependant on rota) You will have good communication skills, follow all processes & procedures carefully, be physically fit (as this is a manual role that could involve heavy lifting) and work as part of the team in this fast paced airside environment. Complying with all relevant legislation as well as stringent airport authority and carrier security requirements is essential. Ideally youll have a previous background working in an aviation environment but training will be provided. You need to have a full UK driving license with no more than 3 points as you may be required to drive vehicles as part of the role. You must be able to provide a full and checkable history for the last 5 years and have been based in the UK for at least the last 3 years. You will be subject to criminal record and security checks.
