Job Description

Job Title: Aspiring TherapistsLocation: HounslowSalary: £85 - £100 per dayStart Date: ASAP, April 2024Contract Type: Full Time, Temporary to PermanentAre you passionate about making a positive difference in peoples lives through therapy Do you aspire to become a licensed therapist and support individuals in their mental health journeys Join us at GSL Education as an Aspiring Therapist and embark ona fulfilling career path in the field of mental health.Responsibilities as an Aspiring Therapist:

  • Assist licensed therapists in conducting therapy sessions and implementing treatment plans.
  • Participate in client assessments and evaluations to understand their needs and progress.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and support workshops under supervision.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care for clients.
  • Stay informed about current therapeutic approaches and best practices in mental health care.
Requirements for Aspiring Therapists:
  • Bachelors degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field (Masters degree or currently enrolled in a therapy program preferred).
  • Genuine interest in mental health and therapy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach towards clients.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under supervision.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop therapeutic skills.
  • Previous experience or exposure to mental health or counseling settings is advantageous.
