Job Description

PRINCIPAL FIRE COMPLIANCY SAFETY OFFICERHOUNSLOW£175 DAILY PAY RATEMONDAY - FRIDAY- 8.45AM - 5PM3 MONTH ASSIGNMENT (POSSIBILITY OF BEING EXTENDED)IMMEDIATE STARTPURPOSE:Responsible for managing the fire risk assessment programme across the LB Hounslows property portfolio, which comprises of traditional and complex buildings.THE FIRE SAFETY OFFICERS MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To ensure the effective management of the fire safety within residential communal areas project
  • To carry out fire risk assessments when required
  • To carry out quality checks on all fire risk assessments (FRAs) carried out in the Housing stock
  • To co-ordinate internal and external compliance solutions and oversee the implementation of all actions arising from FRAs
  • Undertake routine fire safety inspections, for all locations, measuring the effectiveness of fire precautions measures, and advising on where defects/ non-compliances are found
    • THE FIRE SAFETY OFFICER MUST HAVE:
  • A FE Graduate Membership or Full Member of the IFSM.
  • Fire Safety Management qualification, such as NEBOSH Fire or equivalent
  • Ability to implement fire engineering solutions and a full understanding of the requirements o and application of the Hackitt Report on Fire safety and Responsibilities.
  • Ability to analyse both technical, organisational and management fire safety issues and offer creative, constructive and cost-effective solutions.
