Job Description

Job Title: PE Teaching AssistantLocation: HounslowSalary: £85 - £100 per dayStart Date: ASAP, April 2024Contract Type: Full Time, Temporary to PermanentAre you enthusiastic about promoting physical education and encouraging active lifestyles among students GSL Education is currently seeking passionate individuals to join us as PE Teaching Assistants in vibrant schools across Hounslow. This role offersa fantastic opportunity to support the delivery of physical education and inspire young minds to lead healthy and active lives.Responsibilities as a PE Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist PE teachers in planning and delivering engaging and inclusive physical education lessons.
  • Support students during practical activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who may require additional assistance or encouragement.
  • Help set up equipment and facilities for PE lessons and sports events.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to organize extracurricular sports clubs and events.
Requirements for PE Teaching Assistants:
  • Passion for physical education and promoting an active lifestyle among students.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude towards supporting students physical development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Basic knowledge of sports and fitness principles.
  • Relevant qualifications in sports coaching or physical education are desirable but not essential.
