European Roadfreight Supervisor

Job Description

My client is a busy, global freight forwarding company recruiting for an experienced and dynamic Supervisor to oversee the European Roadfreight divison. Daily duties will include:

  • Managing and developing the daily administration operations for the European trades for WEN
  • Manage the full customs procedure including checking documentation, setting clearances in Destin8 and CNS systems and dealing with any customs or port holds and handling clearance and V&D invoicing to customers
  • Prepare performance progress reports for senior management on a monthly basis
  • Managing file bulling in line with tariffs
  • Manage pre alerts for import and export team
  • Ensure effective month end procedures are in place, making sure all trade routes are performing to the standard margin and gross profit accuracy reporting on any shipments falling outside budget
  • Review credit limit
  • Monitoring and reviewing VAT and DUTY exposure making sure no cargo is being released without cleared funds
  • Handling employee absences
  • Handling key accounts and develop strong working relationships
    • Requirements:
  • You MUST have previous experience handling European road freight shipments for import and export
  • Excellent knowledge of customs procedures and legislation
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Strong working history for 5 year check purposes
    • Working hours:Monday - Friday 0900am - 1730pm Required skills
