Job Description

Estimator - Required for our client is currently recruiting for a Junior Estimator to work in the Groundwork and Concrete Sector. The most suitable Estimator will have lots of knowledge of Concrete and have a background in civil engineeringand Groundworks. The Estimator will be office based and working in Middlesex.This is an opportunity for an Estimator to work for a well-established Construction company. It is envisaged that the Estimator will have strong client facing skills and be able to communicate both written and verbally. The Junior Estimator will ideallyhave knowledge of Take- offs and the Civils Industry. Experience of using Causeway software is highly advantageous. The Estimator will be able to maintain good relationships with prospective clients and promote further tender invitations.Estimator Position Overview

  • Liaise with the sales department and help to increase companys sales
  • Build a good rapport with existing and new clients.
  • Obtaining tender prices from suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Secure profitable work
  • Forward prices, program, details and lead times to building team
  • Update estimating library to reflect up to date pricing and costs
  • Delivering engaging, informative and well-organized presentations to new and existing clients for specific and new projects
  • Fortnightly / monthly re-measures and valuations
  • Work in an office based environment
  • Promote further tender invitations
Estimator Position Requirements
  • Proven Take- off experience
  • Ability to take quotes from initial enquiry to secured project
  • Understanding of the Civils and Groundwork industry
  • Experience of working for a Subcontractor
  • 3 years plus experience within Civil Engineering
  • Experience of Groundworks, Concrete frames, Demolishing, Basements, Structural alterations
  • Experience of using Causeway but not essential
  • Living within commutable distance of West London
Estimator Position Remuneration
  • Salary depending upon experience
  • Package negotiable
