Job Description

Right Now Group are recruiting for one of the leading cargo ground handlers at London Heathrow Airport!We are looking for drivers to join our client due to massive growth and exciting new contracts secured.The driver role is to working within a dynamic and busy airside environment alongside the clients airline partners; ensuring their cargo is transported safely and securely.Location: Heathrow Airport Shift Pattern: 6 on / 3 off (3 early shifts/ 3 late shifts)Earliest Start Time - 04:30Latest Finish Time - 23:30Hours: 37.5 hours per week (overtime available)Salary: £26,376.33As a driver you will be responsible for:

  • Safely and securely loading and unloading cargo.
  • Delivering cargo from the warehouse to the aircraft and back vice versa.
  • Reporting any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate manager.
  • Heavy lifting
  • Adhering to strict Health and safety procedures and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations.
  • Ensuring that the vehicles are checked and always kept clean.
  • Ensuring all required paperwork is completed correctly.
Desired Skills:
  • Physical fitness to lift baggage up to 32kg.
  • Be flexible with the shifts you can work.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Able to obtain a clear DBS and 5-year employment history
  • Ability to speak and understand English competently.
  • Flexible to work in any weather conditions.
  • Previous experience of working in the aviation environment (desirable)
You will be driving 18 tonne/HGV. However as this is an airside role; you only need to hold a full UK full UK driving licence for at least one year.Benefits of being an Airside driver:The client offer their team a variety of benefits but we have listed the main ones below:
