Job Description

A market leading business are looking for an Accounting Manager to join this large and growing finance team. The role will involve overseeing the balance sheet and general month end process and will focus on process improvements and streamlining procedures. This is fantastic opportunity work in a newly created role which will drive forward the accounting function.Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of month end processes in line with Group timetable with an aim of reducing time to close
  • Ensure Intercompany Revenues are correctly eliminated at Group level
  • Revenue reconciliation - source systems to GL
  • Management of credit note provision and associated process ensuring compliance with IFRS9
  • Balance sheet owner of accrued COGS, Accrued and Deferred Income ensuring reconciliations are maintained to best practice in Blackline
  • Support the wider commercial team as the Group continues to develop its front-end systems, ensuring back office processes are scalable and robust - be the voice of finance in scoping and requirements
  • Ownership of Revenue Recognition policy monitoring compliance with IFRS15 across all systems and processes and that the policy is shared and understood across the business as needed
  • Write or maintain Standard Operating Procedures, including identification of key controls
  • End to end ownership of Revenue and COGs accounting ensuring there is visibility of margin and the component pieces to an appropriate level of detail
  • Work closely with business partners to ensure Finance as a whole is aligned and telling the same story
  • Management of audit deliverables
    • Person Required:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
  • Strong financial accounting experience
  • Experience with process improvements
  • Project management skills - ability to plan, prioritise and manage risk to maximize benefit / deliverables
  • Excellent excel skills,
  • Management of complex Balance Sheet reconciliations and journals
  • Management of audit deliverables
  • Good understanding of Key Financial Controls
