Pre-Litigated Credit Hire File HandlerJob Purpose:Are you looking for your first or next legal move Do you want to join a great team Do you have experience of a legal working environment If so, Keoghs are looking to recruit a File Handler to work on our Tactical Pre-Litigated Credit Hire. The role is to pursue settlement of files in line with client instruction / client guidelines / strategies to the commercial benefit of the Insurer client & KeoghsKey Accountabilities:• Create initial case strategy following Client Guidelines and review of information available• Undertake discussions and negotiations with Insured, Insurer and Third Party Solicitors to pursue the appropriate settlement of cases and the apportionment of costs• Timely and accurate maintenance of all case management, billing and management information systems to ensure completeness of records and aid business decision making• Allocate funds to the appropriate client accounts as per agreed procedures to ensure the client and Keoghs receive appropriate payments• Dealing with correspondence and telephone calls• Undertaking periodic reviews of files in line with Client requirements• Updating reports• Meeting agreed performance targets• Ensuring files are kept within ISO 9001 guidelines• Provide written updates by email or letter to clients detailing case activity to ensure that they receive up to date and accurate information about progress when requested• To ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2011Experience, Skills and Qualifications:Essential:• Previous experience of handling own caseload• Good standard of education - 3 GCSE’s grade C or above or equivalent including Maths, English & Science as a minimum.• Good telephone negotiation skills• Ability to use own initiative• Ability to plan and prioritise workloads• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills• Ability to make decisions• Ability to remain calm under pressure• Ability to follow work processes and keep to Strategy yet flexible enough to adapt to change• Proficient IT skills• Adhere to the Keoghs ValuesDesirable:• Knowledge / experience of credit hire• Knowledge of RTA• Experience of Indemnity Principles and CCFAsWhat you can expect from us:• A learning culture with employee development at the heart of the people development pathway• Excellent flexible benefits including Annual leave entitlement and Healthcare Cash Plan as standard• Monday to Friday - 35 hours per weekBenefits Package:• Health Care Cash Plan• Death In Service - after 1 year• Pension Contribution• Cycle to Work Scheme*• Tech Scheme*• Season Ticket Loan*• Car Parking Scheme*• Gym Flex*• Access to Online Discount Sites• Discounted Gourmet Society Membership• Discounted Tickets for Merlin Attractions nationwide• Discounts at local retail outlets• Flexible Working• 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidaysKeoghs is one of the leading providers of claims-related services to insurers, businesses and other suppliers to the insurance sector.
