Job Description

Are you looking for your next role Do you have experience handling your own caseload If so Keoghs are looking to add a File Handler to the Fraud Rings team.The Fraud Rings File Handler is a technical litigated file handling role. The individual will manage a caseload of Litigated* Fraud Ring files and be responsible for devising and implementing the strategies on those cases, in conjunction with the high level strategies set for each fraud ring, ensuring that client and internal KPI metrics are met and exceeded and that opportunities for strategic litigation are maximised.*In exceptional circumstances, there may be a need to handle a small number of pre-litigated cases (for example where client requirements dictate or due to the strategic importance of the case or ring).Key Accountabilities

  • Devising and implementing technically and commercially strong strategies for litigated fraud rings cases which deliver the overarching strategy of each fraud ring and deliver agreed KPI’s.
  • Identifying and via engaging with the designated technical lead, pursuing opportunities for strategic litigation
  • Managing a caseload of litigated fraud ring cases, delivering agreed KPI’s and SLA’s.
  • Achieve both client and Keoghs’ KPI objectives and financial targets
  • Essential Skills and Attributes:
  • Established career in civil litigation claims handling / as a legal fee earner or suitably qualified (ILEX, LPC etc)
  • Experience of handling and RTA pre-litigated and litigated fraud case load
  • An understanding of insurance litigation practice and processes together with indemnity principles
  • Knowledge of the litigation process / working knowledge of the CPR
  • Good advocacy skills
  • Good client care skills and evidence of working to client guidelines
  • Ability to coach and mentor an assistant
  • High level of analytical skills
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise work, keep to deadlines and work under pressure
  • Ability to anticipate problems and identify solutions
  • Excellent IT Skills
