Job Description

Workshop Technician/EngineerWest Sussex£30,000 per annumOur client are recruiting for a workshop technician to join their team in Horsham. This is a varied role, and you will get involved in all the mechanical workshop activities including, repair assessment, incoming inspection, reduce to produce, component assembly,component modification, hydraulic and pneumatic testing. Monday - Thursday 08.30-17.00 and Fridays 08.30-16.15. Parking available. The role would suit someone who enjoys taking things apart and re-assembing products. Great small team and good company benefits.Salary £30,000.Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a preliminary inspection of incoming components
  • Disassemble components for repair assessment and identification
  • Determine material to be used in repair process
  • Carry out repairs in accordance to repair instructions and component maintenance manuals
  • Carry out functional testingHydraulic and Pneumatic
  • Assemble components post repair / overhaul
  • Carry out Reduce to Produce activities
  • Daily, Weekly and Monthly data reporting
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience in a Workshop environment (Aerospace Engineering is advantageous but not essential)
  • Good organisational and planning skills with proven track record of project / task prioritisation
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good technical ability
  • Good understanding of customer requirements with proven track record in meeting customer expectations
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Knowledge and ability to read and interpret technical documentation
  • Willingness to adopt flexible work patterns when required to meet business needs
  • Willingness and ability to work with Engineers and staff at all levels
  • Willingness to work with all levels within the organisation
