Job Description

Our client is looking for an organised and experienced Purchasing Assistant to support them on a temporary basis for 6 months. The company are based on the outskirts of Horsham and the role is full time working Monday to Friday 09:00-17:30.Daily duties include:

  • Assisting with purchasing requirements of products and services
  • Process purchase requisitions into Purchase Order and receipt
  • Ensure supplier lead times are met and that order details are correct
  • Check for updates on orders
  • Ensure that all existing and future suppliers adhere to company requirements and regulations
  • Assist with vendor onboarding process
  • Key skills required:
  • Previous Purchasing/ Procurement or Accounts Payable experience
  • Experience using Oracle IProcurement module highly preferable, if not, another purchase to pay system
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Prioritising a busy and high volume workload
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong IT skills and tech savvy
  • Quick to learn and able to hit the ground running
  • Able to work well independently
