Job Description

Job Title: Supply Teacher HASTINGSAre you a flexible and adaptable educator who thrives in diverse teaching environments We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced individuals to join our team of Supply Teachers. As a Supply Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a significantimpact by providing essential support to schools and ensuring the continuity of learning in the absence of regular classroom teachers in Hastings and surrounding areas.Responsibilities of a Supply Teacher:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of regular classroom teachers.
  • Adapting teaching materials and strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Providing guidance, assistance, and support to students in their academic and personal development.
  • Collaborating with fellow teachers and staff to ensure a smooth transition for students and effective communication.
  • Implementing school policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and student well-being.
  • Assessing student progress, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records as required.
  • Demonstrating flexibility and willingness to work across different grade levels and subject areas.
Requirements of a Supply Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Enhanced DBS check and
  • Previous teaching experience in a classroom setting, ideally with experience across multiple key stages.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
  • Adaptability and the ability to quickly adjust to different school environments and curriculum requirements.
  • Organisational skills to manage lesson plans, assessments, and administrative tasks efficiently.
