Job Description

We are looking for a Qualified Occupational Therapist to join our clients Independent Living Service team across Worthing and Littlehampton. Successful applications will have;

  • Proven experience of undertaking clinical functional assessments and of Occupational Therapy intervention planning, implementation and review.
  • Proven experience of working as an Occupational Therapist with people with physical disabilities in the community and providing appropriate interventions to enable independence at home.
  • Demonstrate experience of interagency and multidisciplinary work to support collaborative working relationship.
  • Currently you will work mostly from home, and only going into the office for special tasks such as printing, and picking up PPE and post. The team are still carrying out essential visits to customers while trying to do most of the customer contact by phone. However, moving and handling issues usually require a face-to-face visit. The independent Living Service team are focused on supporting adults who have a primary physical long-term condition, although many will also have mental health needs. You will work as part of a very friendly and approachable team of 16 OTs and OTAs. There is regular supervision and additional support is on offer, including face to face support with Mosaic, processes and joint visits. Experience of moving and handling of people and of working independently in the community and in peoples homes is desired as is a good understanding of community equipment and resources. Qualifications Applicants must possess a Diploma or BA/BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification and Current registration with Health Professions Council. Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
