Job Description

Finance & Operations ManagerHorsham£55,000-£65,000 plus bonus, pension and life coverWe Do Group are working with an organically growing distribution business, who major on sustainability and low carbon products, to find a talented and commercially astute Finance & Operations Manager who will support the CEO and wider senior management team.This business is offering the chance to work in a really varied role. They have a collaborative, inclusive and growth orientated mindset so youll need to be a real people person!The RoleThe successful Finance & Operations Manager will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

  • Providing accurate and timely management accounts and other management information/analysis as requested
  • Oversee and approve supplier payments (including weekly payroll) and lead on weekly cash-flow management /reporting
  • Prepare & submit the VAT returns
  • Reconciliations of the factoring bank accounts, along with balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage the monthly month-end task list and ensure deadlines are hit by all team members
  • Produce monthly overhead analysis ensuring overheads are in line with annual budget
  • Providing accurate and timely management accounts for all global territories and other management information as requested
  • Assist the CEO in preparing the annual budget and all other Financial activities
  • Develop commercial analysis with a particular focus on pricing, commercial agreements, contract terms and profitability of both product lines and customers.
  • Prepare and lead the Ops & Finance team in all financial audits
  • Manage both the Accounts Assistant and Procurement & Logistics Assistant
  • Introduce & maintain appropriate financial controls with support from external accounting firm.
  • Oversee all HQ procurement
  • Lead quarterly supplier meetings
  • Oversee annual cost analysis and present findings to the CEO

What are we looking for
  • Qualified by Experience or Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Experience in varied roles in an SME environment - ideally with significant exposure to Operations or procurement teams
  • Confident with ERP systems
  • Ability to effectively manage priorities and conflicting deadlines
  • Hands-on approach, analytical and commercially oriented but able to stand back from the detail when needed.
  • Positive can-do attitude, enjoys problem-solving and bringing new ideas to the table.
  • Excellent communicator who enjoys working with non-finance stakeholders.
Salary£55,000 - £65,000 + bonus, pension, and life cover.
