Cosmetic Chemist (mat cover)Up to c£35,000 dependent on experienceHorshamA well-established, entrepreneurial cosmetics and personal care organisation based in Horsham are keen to recruit a Cosmetic Chemist on a maternity cover contract until April 2021. This organisation has seen great success over the years with their unique product ranges known across the globe.The purpose of this role is to be responsible for the formulation and development of novel product formulations in the cosmetics and personal care arena, as well as this, you will also keep up to date with the latest trends and regulation changes of the industry.Key Duties:* Work closely with marketing and NPD teams to ensure projects are kept on track.* Design and develop novel products to a high standard and to meet the designated requirements of marketing.* Identify key technological challenges that will result in cost savings and/or enhanced product performance and implement such projects.* Establish and maintain excellent relationships with key suppliers and keep abreast of new raw materials/technologies that may provide new/superior benefits to formulations.* Assist in packaging technology testing and development.Key Requirements:* Experience of formulation in the cosmetics & personal care industry is essential* A degree in a Scientific discipline - e.g. cosmetic science or similar Required skills
