Job Description

Are you a highly motivated and technically-minded sales professional Do you want to work with a dedicated and supportive team within a successful businessPackage:Basic Salary, £43,000 - £45,000 per annum + OTE (c. £12,000)The Role:The primary objectives of this role include forging strong connections with both prospective and current customers, driving sales orders to meet targets, and serving as a dedicated ambassador in specific regions across EMEA & APAC.This entails the enthusiastic promotion of the entire equipment range offered by the brand. This position is pivotal in faithfully representing the company in accordance with the company values and providing valuable support to the broader sales team throughproduct demonstrations and participation in exhibitions.Additionally, this role plays a crucial part in collecting and disseminating market intelligence for the organisation. By engaging various stakeholders, it aims to gather essential insights into the external business landscape, which can then inform strategicdecisions shaping the future direction of the company.Responsibilities:

  • To enhance awareness of products and services among potential customers within the designated sales territory, with the aim of generating new sales inquiries. This involves direct engagement with customers and working in collaboration with our distributorsand agents, as needed
  • Your role will entail utilising your expertise in the product range and their practical applications to address inquiries and respond to questions from overseas distributors and end users. Communication channels include phone, email, and video calls (e.g.,Teams)
  • Your objective is to advocate for the most financially advantageous solutions from the product portfolio whenever feasible. Additionally, youll offer guidance on custom products, if required
  • It is crucial to manage the allocated sales area meticulously and professionally, conducting product demonstrations and customer interviews. Maintaining a substantial quote pipeline is essential, ensuring that all potential sales opportunities align withthe companys strategy to meet established sales targets
  • Accurate recording of sales activity data on the companys databases is a fundamental responsibility, and coordination with office-based sales coordinators will be necessary when needed
  • Achieving the agreed-upon sales targets is contingent upon cost-effective sales activities, which necessitate well-planned customer interactions and efficient equipment demonstrations
  • Staying current with the latest product offerings, product training, and services developed by our Engineering team is crucial. This knowledge enhancement is facilitated by collaborating with other members of the Sales team
  • Be ready to support both domestic and international exhibitions as the situation requires

Experience:
  • Relevant professional experience (a background/degree in Mechanical Engineering would be highly desirable)
  • Extensive and verifiable experience in technical sales and business development is a critical requirement, particularly within an international manufacturing company engaged in B2B operations
  • Prior exposure to materials testing is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is expected
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
