Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Semi-Senior to join a rapidly growing boutique Chartered practice, located in newly refurbished offices on the High Street in Brentwood, Essex.The directors are looking for someone to join the Accounts Production team assisting with the supervisioin of a team of junior staff and having responsibility for accounts production and VAT compliance.The successful candidate will be highly motivated, having both the soft and technical skills to manage and prioritise the workflow.Services include accounts prep, management accounts, corporation tax computations and VAT.Duties

Accounts preparation for incorporated entities, partnerships and sole traders
tax computations for incorporated businesses for review by managers
Responsible for day to day communication with clients, including answering queries
Management and delivery of ad hoc assignments
Producing work for manger review which requires little input, clearly highlight issues and provide potential solutions to issues identified
Supervising, training, delegating and reviewing work of junior team members
Delivering information to clients in a timely manner
Assist the manager with the workflow planning
Potential travel to clients to assist with implementing finance systems
Display an understanding of clients businesses and the key risks.
Display an in-depth industry knowledge and commercial applicability
Pay attention to self-development and continuing professional development with a view to progressing in the practice

As the successful candidate you will be technically strong with good knowledge of accounting standards and basic tax planning. You will be ACA/ACCA part qualified or QBE with practice experience.
