Job Description

Reed Accountancy is currently assisting a well established technology related organisation in the local area in sourcing a Financial Accountant to join their ever growing team. This organisation are experts in their field and are continuously evolving. This role will be responsible for the asset portfolio of the Group ensuring that all tasks are carried out ina professional and effective manner in accordance with Group policy.Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Ensure asset databases and registers are up to date and accurate across the Group and drive continual improvement
  • Manage churned assets and liaise with Account Managers and internal departments
  • Manage and liaise with Operations to report on removals and returns into stock
  • Engage with providers and assist with asset procurement
  • Provide support and maintain overview of assets to be returned to Incumbent MAMs to remain MAMCoP compliant and prevent lost asset claims.
  • Maintain, collate and summarise timely Management Information for SUFL Board, e.g., Sales pipeline, Finance billing information etc.
  • Reconcile fixed assets and ensuring that the correct rate of depreciation has been applied
  • Prepare monthly revenue reconciliation report.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Provide cross support across the Group.
  • Attending and contributing to monthly management meetings.
  • Proactively seeks ways to improve Finance processes and systems.
  • Undertake cross training in relation to credit control and purchase ledger and be willing to undertake these tasks on an ad hoc basis.
  • Participate in regular training/ learning activities to maintain and develop skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and working practices.
Required skills and qualifications
  • Have demonstrable relevant sales ledger experience with a customer focused approach
  • Be qualified ACCA or CIMA.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities and be up to date with advances in business area, new methods and ways of working.
  • Consistently professional, confident and calm even in challenging situations.
  • Supportive and helpful team player with a flexible and positive attitude
  • Strong IT and communication skills
  • Proactively share knowledge, skills and experience with others to increase team performance.
  • Deliver a high volume of quality work on time and strive to get things right first time.
  • Strive to meet objectives and improve performance.
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail Prioritise work well
