Job Description

Business Development Manager required for our client. They are seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager to work alongside the Sales/Commercial Director and Managing Director.Business growth will come from organically growing their core technologies in GSHP, ASHP, Solar, MultiTech and Service/Repair work, and developing new business in vertical markets including large commercial and public sector work. This may include the provisionof financed large ground source heat networks. Leveraging opportunities through design and budgeting assistance to organisations such as Schools and Colleges in their pursuit of PSDS funding will be expected.Business Growth Manager Position OverviewIdentify and exploit discrete vertical market segments - e.g.

  • Schools, hospitals (NHS trusts), council buildings, prisons, other state buildings
  • Process industries where process requires both heating and cooling, such as breweries, wineries, dairies, etc, ideally suited to HP technology.
  • Continually seek market / project intelligence giving advantage to the entities and group
  • Complete PQQ questionnaires and submissions for target schemes as required.
  • Contribute to Bid winning strategies, working closely and effectively with relevant sales consultant.
  • Support Sales Teams and attend meetings, Tender Presentations, contribute to submission / presentation documents and ensure that all bid strategy requirements are incorporated, and all deadlines are met.
  • Maintain existing and develop new relationships with clients and professional team members. Establish a full understanding of their objectives, their organisation, teams, and future opportunities.
  • Participate in any marketing/customer focused events as required.
  • Assist in preparation of marketing plans and budgets, including specific client / sector targeting.
  • Involvement in lobbying local government to achieve acceleration of renewable technologies deployment and therefore greater opportunities for Group companies.

  • Ensure that all companys policies and procedures are followed and take all necessary actions to ensure health, safety and welfare of yourself, your colleagues, and any other persons.
Business Growth Manager Position Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Business development role, ideally with both corporate and small entrepreneurial business experience.
  • Knowledge of or strong interest in renewable energy systems in general, including the economics of such systems, and ideally, operational knowledge of Heat Pump Systems, Solar Systems, and other ancillary renewables.
  • An astute numbers person.
  • Proven ability to develop, maintain and deliver client management (Main Contractors, Architects, Consultants, End Users and Professional Bodies)
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM and tender portal systems.
  • IT Skills: MS applications, to include PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook
Business Growth Manager Position Remuneration
  • £45,000 - £65,000 DOE
  • Car/car allowance provided
