Job Description

We are currently representing a talented, multi-disciplinary practice based around the Huddersfield area that is actively looking for an Architectural Technologist to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Architectural Technologistto develop their career within a growing, well-established team.Our client specialises within the residential sector so the successful Architectural Technologist will be working on a range of projects within this sector. The projects vary in size and scale, and range between large scale new build residential developmentsto complex recladding schemes of high-rise tower blocks.The successful Architectural Technologist will be responsible for producing technical drawings for RIBA Stages 2-6, producing Revit models, attend and chair client meetings, create working drawings and specifications as well as attend site and liaise withcontractors. It is essential for the Architectural Technologist to have an excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop and InDesign. Revit knowledge would be highly advantageous but not essential.Architectural Technologist Position Overview

Producing technical design drawings for RIBA Work Stage 2 to 6 on both new build and refurbishment residential schemes, including high profile high-rise and large new build schemes
Production of Revit models for use from concept design to construction issue information
Running numerous jobs simultaneously, producing working drawings/specifications and checking/amending similar work drafted by others
Production of planning, building control and construction issue drawings
Attending and chairing client design meetings
Attending site and liaising with contractors, providing technical advice when required

Architectural Technologist Position Requirements

Proficient user AutoCad, SketchUp, Photoshop and InDesign
Proficient in Revit preferable but not essential
Relevant Degree Qualified
Living in or around the Huddersfield area

Proven experience in a Design Office
Construction technical knowledge
Experience in Building and Planning regulations/procedures
Ability to work effectively in the office and from home where required.

Salary; £28,000 - £38,000 (DOE)
