Holiday Cottage Housekeeper

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced housekeeper/cleaner who can work independently and alongside team members and have an eye for detail and great communication skills. Must be available on changeover days which are primarily Fridays.The Hours: 4.5 hours per week on a Friday 10.00-14.30Working in a team of 2 people we allow 4.5 hours for each team member to do the change-over of this holiday cottage on Friday. However, flexibility is required as short breaks mean change over days can fall on any day of the week. Rotas are issued in advance and we will try to accommodate other commitments where possible.Pay: £8.72 per hourFull Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided for all teams and additional extensive measures in place to protect staff.What its like to work hereThis role will be primarily based at Selworthy Farmhouse, Holnicote, Somerset which is a beautiful 5 bedroom cottage (which sleeps 9 people). The farmhouse is cleaned by two people on a changeover, so teamwork is essential.There may be a requirement to work in other cottages in the surrounding area on a cover basis. Our cottages are often in remote locations, so your own transport is essential.What youll be doingOn change-over days, you’ll make sure that everything’s clean and ready for our guests to arrive. This will include a thorough clean of the property, making beds, health and safety compliance checks and leaving a welcome note and welcome tray for the guests when they arrive. We’d also like you to keep an eye out for any repairs or odd jobs that need doing, take meter readings and manage your store area.Internally this role is known as: Holidays Operation Assistant.Who were looking forYoull be;
