Job Description

Pro-Found Recruitment are recruitment for a Welder/Fabricator/Commercial Vehicle Body Builder for our Engineering client located in Chesterfield, S42.The successful Candidate will be manufacturing sub frames for new FASSI cranes or building bespoke commercial bodywork to customer specific requirementsWelder/Fabricator Benefits:

  • Location: Chesterfield, S42 - workshop based
  • Salary: £14 to £16 per hour
  • Contract: Temp to Perm
  • Hours: 40 hours per week - 7am to 3.30pm plus overtime
  • Holidays: 20 days holiday plus bank holidays to start with - rises to 22 days after 2 years service and 25 days after 5 years service - shut down for Christmas / New Year and all staff must save 5 working days holiday for this period.

Welder/Fabricator Responsibilities:
  • Construction of Crane sub-frames onto new & used chassis
  • Installation of new cranes onto new & used chassis
  • Construction of commercial vehicle bodies from start to finish
  • Occasional repairs to used cranes/vehicles (Fabrication only)
  • Carry out PDIs on new installations
  • You must be willing to work by yourself and as part of a small team
Welder/Fabricator Skills:
  • Previous experience in MIG welding & fabrication is essential
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of all health and safety practices
  • Honest and reliable
  • Team player
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Knowledge of hydraulics would be an advantage, but not essential
